The devastation in Vermont left by hurricane Irene is incredibly wide spread. More than 250 bridges were destroyed a lot of them were historic covered bridges. Farmers crops were completely removed leaving only bedrock behind. Many houses and businesses were taken completely by the rivers. I spent 2 days filming in and around the town where I grew up. My heart really goes out to the people that were affected by the storm. It was very unexpected and tragic. The road crews are working around the clock to get the miles of roads fixed before the winter comes. I hope this video does justice to what its like up there.
